Hey folks, my name is David Drbal known as a “Dreamtalks” on several art forums.
I was born 8th of November 1977 and grown up to what I am now – Character designer and animator.
My family started it out when I was 10 years old. I decided learn how to draw. Living in artistic family made it a bit easier for me. Actually they torchure me. I had to draw almost everyday, and they hadn’t been nice to me with their critiques. Well, now I see how hard was it for them, and I’m grateful for their patience and believe in my skill. My mother teach me how to draw, and my father teach me Airbrush when I was 12 years old ( no computers these days :o) ) .
After that I could do anything else then go study art to Art School I graduated in 1998 from graphic design and illustration.
Right after my graduation I got chance work in advertising agency as an art-director. That was my job for almost 8 years. My passion for character design and 3d I discovered in 2002 was bigger and bigger. In 2003 I decided go freelance and made from passion my new job. Right now I cooperate with greatest post-production studio in Czech Republic as an animator and 3d supervisor. I do animation mostly forĀ commercial spots ( perhaps because of my last experience in advertising ) I was working in UPP also on several movies including “The International (2009)”
I’m married to Katherine Drbal. She has flower salon in centre of Prague called Annie’s Tulip. I have a daughter Annie with my wife.
She is 8 years old … and what else father can say about … I’m very proud on her.
