Chickeneraptor

Another speed test with sculpting in Zbrush. Because Zbrush doesnt support any reference images in the background ( so far I know ) I made the base mesh in XSI first. It took me about 10 minutes. Then I added details in Zbrush. Its still rough model, but all took about 2 hours of work which is good for sufficient looking 3D concept.

Igor sculpt concept

It takes a while, but I get my hands into Zbrush finally. This came from simple sphere and so far Im pretty happy with the result. This is my first try. I hadnt have any concept made before I started this. It also shown big potential of Zbrush as 3D sketching tool.

I had quiet frustrating time not to get results I wish with classic modelling tools. The problem was mostly with workflow and topology problems. Many times my 2D sketches didnt work so well in 3D and changing them in classic way was quiet pain.  I feel unlimited with Zbrush right now. I feel comfortable with the tool like when Im drawing my concepts. I dont need to care about polyflow as I will adjust it ( retopology ) when Im done with sculpting. That sounds good to me .)
